Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil “comes from another planet” – Charlie Nicholas

Ozil

Ozil led Arsenal to a 3-2 victory over Ludogorets Razgrad on Tuesday evening, netting an 87th minute winner for the London giants.

Indeed, the Germany international produced a special passage of play to seal the three points, lifting the ball over lifting the ball over onrushing goalkeeper Milan Borjan before fooling two defenders with a dummy.

His performance in Sofia followed a hat-trick in the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium, as Arsenal won 6-0 on matchday three of the Champions League group stage.

Ozil has also struck three goals in nine Premier League appearances this term, helping Arsene Wenger’s men to second place in the table.

Nicholas insists that the No.11 is now proving his ability in the big games, showcasing his “wonderful” technique.

The pundit told Sky Sports: “He comes from another planet that no other Arsenal player has found yet.

“He’s got loads of good talent and loads of good movement. Ozil was absolutely wonderful.

“He proved his point against Chelsea [in a 3-0 win] when they had stumbled for so long against Chelsea. He was a big player and scored a goal that day.”

Ozil will be aiming to continue his excellent run of form on Sunday, as Arsenal face local rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Mesut Ozil has created more chances (21) than any other Arsenal player in the Premier League this season.
