Arsenal leave Hector Bellerin at home for Ludogorets clash but hope right back will recover to face Tottenham

Hector Bellerin trained with Arsenal on Monday but has not travelled to face Ludogorets
  • Arsenal will not risk Hector Bellerin's 'minor knock' away at Ludogoret
  • Manager Arsene Wenger wants to get his team ready to face Tottenham
  • Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal also stayed in London

Hector Bellerin has not travelled to Bulgaria for Arsenal's game against Ludogorets but Arsene Wenger expects to have his right back available for the derby against Tottenham.

Bellerin suffered what a club source described as a 'minor knock' at the end of the training session before the team's flight to Sofia.

Wenger decided to leave the Spain international out of the squad as a precaution but it is not thought to be serious.

The Arsenal boss has taken no risks with the Spurs game at the Emirates Stadium looming on Sunday.

Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal are also close to full fitness after injuries but they have also stayed in London.

Ludogorets were beaten 6-0 in London two weeks ago and although Wenger admitted the final result flattered his team he will expect to win the return.

Theo Walcott has also been left in London as Arsene Wenger eyes up Tottenham on Sunday

'Some are very close, like Walcott,' said the Arsenal boss. 'Bellerin had a little incident in the last minute of training.

'For us it is a big game. We can qualify if we win but it will be a difficult situation if we lose.

'The importance of the game is massive and we know that.'
