Former Manchester United midfielder Anderson has been suspended by Internacional after punching a teammate during a training session.
The 28-year-old, who ended his seven-and-a-half year stint at Old Trafford when he joined the Brazilian club in 2015, lashed out at teammate William during a shooting exercise at an open training session.
Anderson was filmed firing a close-range effort high over the crossbar before being seen to swing at William, with the Brazilian this time finding his intended target.
William appeared to be visibly taken back by the heavy blow before running back and attempting to seek some retribution, only for floods of Internacional players to pull Anderson away and separate the pair.
The defender was pictured with blood around his mouth following the altercation with Anderson, who was escorted from the field in a fit of anger and frustration.
Like Anderson, William has also been suspended by the club pending an investigation.
The incident comes at a bad time for Internacional, who are fighting to retain their place in the Brazilian top flight after a series of disappointing results.
