First, the self-styled Omo Baba Olowo announced in September that he was releasing an EP titled Son of Mercy. This was after he did not release any material since December of 2015. The EP was released on September 30th
Second, he revealed via an exclusive video that he had songs with International artistes like Usher, Future, Trey Songs and Tinashe and that those videos will be released soon.
Well, Davido kept his promise. The video with Tinashe titled How Long has indeed been released. (It was released earlier today). At the time of writing this report, it has over 37,398 views on YouTube. However, that is not the real surprise about the video. It is the fact that Tinashe sang parts of her lines in Yoruba! This shows that Davido and his team at Sony Music recognize the importance of using the Naija sound when promoting Davido’s music abroad. They deserve kudos for this.
